>...last night and bought the Powermatic 3520 lathe.
Thanks to those who responded with sage advice, folk advice and good old common sense.
I even got approval from the Comptroller, after some pretty good questions :-)
I'll pick it up the 2nd weekend in April.
Now I have to make room for it in my shop.

Do you have your 220V receptacle and matching plug ready to go? Mine came without a "plug", just stripped wire.

I do have a 220 plug and outlets already in the shop. Installed them about 15 years ago in anticipation of needing 220 sometime in the future.
Looks like the future is now :-)
