another respirator question

>I don't have a place to try it on and I'm concerned about the weight of the Trend respirator. I tried a friends that had a separate battery pack worn on a strap across his back. I can't remember the brand but he said he bought it before the Trend was around.

It seemed a bit heavy. Would that suggest the Trend is even more heavy since the battery pack resides in the helmet?

Hate to spend that much without trying first. That's why I post all these questions.

I recently bought a Trend and had your same concerns. When I first tried it I thought it was "heavy". After I used it for a short time I forgot all about it. I think I was concentrating on how "heavy" it was going to feel and talked myself into it. I don't notice any difference between it and my regular face mask but my lungs and sinus sure do.

>It is a bit heavier than the 3M (Raycor) which is similar. The wieght though is not a factor that you would be concerned with. It is a bit bulkier than the Raycor and the tilt up feature is my esitimation is not worth the extra mechanism. The entire thing is plastic except for the battery.The battery is 3 AAA size . If you put two batteries in the helmet then you essentially double the weight . In short it is not a heavy item and soon you overlook it. Darryl
