>Some projects are artistic endeavors, others are functional turnings, this one is just fun. Happy Easter and Passover! I found this idea on an Australian website while looking for information on P&N Supa Gouges. I had to make one! The body and head are apple, the bill and feet are yellow heart, the eyes are African Blackwood, the puddle is dyed maple, and the egg is spalted maple. I had been turning eggs anyway, for Easter, and to practice my skew skills. Below is a link to the original pdf doc. I changed the bill from a diving duckbill to a puddle duckbill.

>I used Transfast Turquoise alcohol soluble dye. I bought it at the local Rockler Store in Cleveland. I don't see it on Rocklers website. Homestead Finishing products make it. They make the water-soluble dye that Rockler carries also. I used 1/2 tsp. dye to 1-cup denatured alcohol.
