Southern States Symposium?

Ruth Niles

>Who do I contact about being included in the dinner for WC members at the Southern States Symposium? I'll be driving down and now I have to find lodgings, where are most of you staying?

Thanks,

Ruth

>Hi Ruth,

Janet and I both look forward to seeing you there. We're staying at the Hampton Inn this year, but have stayed at the Lanier Center Best Western in the past. Most attendees stay at one or the other and are given special rates if attending the symposium. Both are very nice.

See ya,

Phil Axtell

Where to stay?

tdaniel

>Ruth, you are added to the WC dinner list. We will eat at an authentic Mexican restaurant (the only place in Gainesville that will take a group on friday night). For hotels try Ramada; it's walking distance from the show. A Tour de France type bike race is the same week-end so hotels are already filling up. Email me if you need additional help finding a place to stay.

>Phil,

I'd love to meet you and Janet. The Hampton is full, hope I can get a room this late date.

Possibly someone might want to share? (woman, naturally)

>Hope to meeet you there, since you cant get into the Hampton(have to book that in Dec. to be sure of getting in for the SSS),the Ramada is nicer than the Days Inn.There are good alternate places to stay, but they are a bit out of the way for the show.Have stayed at the Ramada a couple times and its ok.

>Ruth,

I had been told that everything was full, too. But I went out to travelocity.com and easily found a nice enough place for my wife and me about .25 miles away.

Look forward to seeing you again.

Look forward to seeing you and everyone else. I'm fortunate enough to have my parents living about 20 miles out so finding a place to stay isn't difficult for me.

Lance Armstrong will be riding in the Tour de georgia so there will be a ton of bicycle enthusiasts in town that weekend.

>Ruth,

I went down last year without a room. Found one just about half a mile down, on the same street as the Symposium.

Even with the bike race, I expect that there will still be rooms available.

Look forward to seeing you there. I'll be the short, long haired guy at the Talasi Hardwoods booth wearing the new WoodCentral hats. I got two new ones to replace the old stained ones from my wife for our anniversary.

>Gee, Mark, I just booked a room at the Ramada, too. It would have to be the same one, right?

Cool!
