How do I match Jet lathe color

Clem Wixted, Jonesboro, AR

>Is there a source for wood and/or metal paint that is generally available to match Jet White?

I would like to make a few items and match the paint color of the lathe.

Do the borgs carry a close match or is Jet the best source. I don't need enough to warrant a custom match.

Thanks,

Clem

>Clem,

I don't have any personal experience with this, but I have read on the internet that KRYLON brand IVORY color is an acceptable match for Jet white. HTH

Paint store analyzer

>Take a sample of the color, perhaps on a faceplate, to a paint store that has a machine that analyzes the color and spits out the formula to duplicate it.

I have used it

>My Jet cabinet saw arrived with scratches and when I advised Jet, they sent me an aresol can of matching paint. You might be able to get it from them if you want an "exact" match.

Rust-o-leum canvas white is closer. Ivory too dark

How about the PM 3520

Re: I think you call French's for that color.

>I called PM customer service and told them that my 4224 was badly scratched by a fork lift in transit and asked for two cans of paint. Got them with no problem. However, for some wood accesories, I took the large forged wrench which came with the lathe to the paint dept. at the big box and they computer matched a quart of latex enamel for me. I know of no off the shelf spray color which matches PM mustard.
