Plywood for jigs....
Russ Fairfield
>It may be me, or my source for the imported Baltic plywood; but I prefer the domestic cabinet grade of Birch plywood. The domestic is more stable, stays flatter, and there is less movement between the plys in the cut edges, than with the more expensive Baltic ply that everyone say is the only thing to use for jigs.
Has anyone else had this problem with the Baltic not staying flat??
I think the reason may be that the Baltic has a higher moisture content than the domestic, and it warps as it dries in my shop.
