>There are three kinds of tools.

1. Engraver/mototool handheld. Results are not very good.

2. Pantograph. Expensive

3. Laser engraver. Very expensive.

Your best bet would be to let someone with the proper tools do it for you. My local trophy shop engraves pens with a pantograph.

The best quality of course, is from a laser. You can contact Ken Nelson at the link below. He is inexpensive and knows how to do pens well.

I agree with Fred, if your looking to have pens engraved I'd check with Ken Nelsen first. I just got back my first order - I had 5 pens engraved -and I was impressed with the quality and quick turn around time.
