Someone has come up with a great idea on re purposing old discarded hand saws. I Kinda like it.

... power tool guys would think this is a cool idea. Exact same thing came up a few years ago and everyone groaned. It was a hand tool site. Most of those saws can be rehabbed; and new ones are nowhere near as well made. Should throw a modern Stanley to the cutting torch.

I'd guess the number of old rusty handsaws out there outnumber the ones that ever will be rehabbed at hundreds to one. I see them all the time at consignment auctions that can't beg a bid.

I guess if the ideal has been done, then its just a rework gig.

On the bright side, if you need a replacement handle you can pick one out and get it for 31.99. Probably cheaper than buying the handle on ebay.
