So the doors on your overhead tool cabinets -- the two doors on the right are connected by a piano hinge and you open both at one time. Is this so because both cabinets house hand planes?
Presumably the two on the left end are configured similarly, opening to the left.
What about the two in the center?

The cabinet to the right of the planes used to house chisels. These have mostly been relocated to the underbench chest (just a few carving chisels remaining).
The other cabinets contain planes (more bench, shoulder, block, and wooden molding planes) and power tools (routers - mostly old Elus).
