Miller Falls Tool was located in my wife's home town and many of her relatives were machinists worked there until WWI. All 5 of her uncles survived the worst of of the battles and the youngest died just 6 months back. P

Now I know I am getting old!

This the fourth or fifth time this week someone posted a picture of an old tool on a woodworking site that I remembered seeing as a lad and asked what is was, who made it , etc.

I live in 'Old Tool Heaven', about a 1/2 hour West of Millers Falls and even closer to Greenfield, MA. Yard sales are a great opportunity to collect nice pieces around here.

Do you mean WW2? Assuming he was 18 in 1918, he'd have died at 120 years old?
