Scratches from 5 micron and 1 micron buff compound

When I was trying the buffing wheel with 5 micron yellow compound to hollow out the blade, I decided to also use it on the bevel. It definitely cuts much faster than the 1 micron green compound.
Anyway, here's what the edge looked like after the 5 micron compound:
(Note that the scratches from the 5 micron probably look more dramatic than they actually were, because I positioned the light to make them as visible as possible.)
And here's what it looked like after the 1 micron compound:
I can't say whether there's much of a practical difference in use.
