Florida Get-Together

>I am having a get-together for woodworkers here at my shop in Lake Wales on December 1st. Come as early as you want, victuals at noon. I will be making a couple big pots of chili and providing cheap beer. Come hang out at the shop for a day and get to know other woodworkers in our area. All are invited, spouse and children included. Normites and Neanders both welcome (I guess I am a little of both).

Lake Wales is at the intersection of US Hwy 27 (north to south, mid-state) and State Road 60 (east and west, from Tampa to Vero Beach). If you'd like to bring anything to add to the lunch, let me know.

The address is 411 North Wales Drive, Lake Wales. Parking is behind the lot on Fifth Street, along my privacy fence, near the shop. Here's a map.

>Ever since I first seen it posted I had a nagging feeling in the back of my mind that Dec. 1st was spoken for, but I couldn't remember for what as I almost never have prearranged obligations. I was just about to give up trying to remember and give my buddy a call to see if he'd like to go as well, when I remembered what it was that I was trying to remember. Dec. 1st is Family Day at my daughters Army Reserve Unit. Based upon last years family day which was a complete waste of time I would love to beg out of it, but I know my daughter really wants me to go, so I will.

So, another day of eating Army chow off of flimsy paper plates while trying to dodge all seven of the uncontollable kids that the female Sargent who get pregnant every time she is scheduled to deploy to avoid deploying, and then have to listen to another speech by her on the importance of maintaining your fitness and finances so as to be able to be able to deploy at a moments notice if required.

Glad you got to see El. hopefully you showed him the saw handle that you recently made as I showed him a pic of on the computer. I thought I was going to see him again before he returned to Maine, but I guess not.

Hope you all have a good time. I fnot for this Family Day I would of come as ths is the perfect weather for a gathering and for traveling.
