I now understand the reasons for the bevel angles of my chisels and plane irons, and more importantly, that it's okay if I want to alter them, because I now have an idea as to what the performance will be. >This is one of my "boy am I glad I bought it" books. I also own an older (1970's) Popular Science book on sharpening, which has a little more emphasis on the suburban homeowner's tools; makes a nice complement, but, forced to choose one, I'd go for Mr. Lee's book.
