>Chico,

I really enjoyed reading your story, too, especially the biographical parts.

You know, there's one of your earlier projects that I thought (and still think) is exceptionally nice work. Right up there with the wine cabinets. It's the quarter-sawn white oak front door you made for your home. Do you happen to have a photo near to hand--I'd like for people to see it. Was originally posted on Badger Pond, I believe.

>Chico .... gosh, I remember 8 or 9 years ago when we met on BP. At that time you were a beginner and we spent a lot of time discussing technique and design - even in those early days your technical ability was easy to see and I remember commenting that "the student was quickly becoming the teacher".

I'm so proud of what you've accomplished in a relatively short span of time. Keep up the fine work and congratulations on the well deserved recognition.

Your friend and admirer ... rj

>Thank you Wiley. I put a link to the picture of the door. I think this is the one as I had posted only a few door pictures.

Thanks again.

>Thank you very much RJ. You've been a great support over the years. Yes, when I look back... well it seems slow, awefully slow. Especially when the mind has the vision, but hands need practice, then every step seems slow. I hope you know what I mean.

All in all, it has been great though. Now, I think I know how much I don't know.
