>Come on folks, there are only a few sizes of stock. You could flip a coin a come up with the right answer. I'm tending towards .032", that way I can use the leftover stock for lock picks.

I'd think that, with a larger, (mostly) unbacked saw, one of the more important things would be learning how to properly tension the steel. That's one of the reasons I've avoided making larger saws, thus far. It's on my list of things to learn, though.
