Attaching new wall to celing

>probably should ask this on the other board but I'm here and you guys know as much so I will ask you. I bought another flip house. the previous owners took out the third bed room and made a large living room. ther is a knock down texture celing and crown molding in the living room is there any thing wrong with not mudding the wall to the celing where the trim will be? I am thinking about making life easier and putting trim in the bed room also that I'm putting back just to make life easier. bad idea? sure would make life easier. I hope to be in and out in 30 days and so far I think I am ahead of schedual going on 8 days into the project. If it sells in 90 days I will be real happy. seems to be lots of intrest in the house by the # of people stopping.
