Fancier than a Crown Royal Bag!

Thomas Skaggs, Foothills of Mount Level

>A box arrived yesterday from Lee Valley. That could only mean one thing...my 30th Anniversary Edition edge plane had arrived. Woohoo! I opened the box and low and behold the plane was in a black velvet bag with gold draw strings and the word "Veritas" in gold lettering on the bag. Holy Cow! I haven't seen something that fancy since I walked past the Tiffany windows in Downtown Chicago!

I pull out the plane and it shines like like a diamond. It appears the bag was appropriate! Beautiful tool. Now I have a dilemma....do I keep it in the bag? In my workshop? Egads! ;-)

I got it!

>Sell the bag on Ebay! You should make enough to pay for the plane.

What number did you get?

Scott, patiently waiting for a box from LV to show up tomorrow.

Mine was waiting for me last week when I came home from the hospital. It is also very heavy!

Take care,

>Congrats, I'm still waiting, ordered it late, expected ship date the 28th. I too have wondered about just putting it away, but na, I'll use it!

>I'm with you Bob. I used mine last night. Took a little knack to get the hand positioned for good strokes but once I got there the plane performed quite well.
