Well I think like many we often have a moment here and there where a supplier does something for us that we feel was a class act.
A few weeks ago I was using my LN adjustable LA block plane. I was remembering buying it about 9 years ago at the Toronto Woodshow from the LN booth, manned by Mario Rodriguez no less. Anyway I have long known that the spinner wheel was wobbly under the lever cap. I am sure I over torqued it many times in it's first few years before I learnt how to adjust it properly.
So a week ago I called LN, told them I would like to order a replacement wheel. It arrived last week while I was away, no charge. You know, it's the little things like that that make the difference. I was completely at fault and willing to pay full price for the replacement part, it's a grand tool. When a supplier treats you like that it's worth more to me and them at the end of the day than the cost of the part.
