NEW Shop Shots - Shop Related!

>Our four newest Shop Shots are up and they all relate to the shop!

Travel back in time in Thomas Brown's '1929 Shop'. An amazing collection of working or soon-to-be working woodworking machines and tools is the norm. Tom's business in Baltimore, MD handles just about anything and you'll see two samples of the fine work they produce with their Old Iron.

As a contrast, Darren Stevens provides us with an update showing progress he's made in his more modern day woodworking shop. Darren's certainly been a busy guy since Shop Shot #800!

Up next is George Dart's story of his rescue of a 'Neanderthal Bench'. Be sure to check this one for the details not published in his post about it on the Main Messageboard. We did a little digging and the Colonel came through with additional information. Great story and a fine old bench!

Finally, we have an exclusive look at a Shaker Sewing Stand Jim Shaver made after an inspirational visit to Pleasant Hill Shaker Village in Kentucky. Have a look at the processes required and the handy router jig Jim made to tackle cutting the flats and dovetails in a spindle while mounted on his lathe. Jim's documentation of this project and his flair with a story should make this an inspiration for others.

Stay tuned for more great shop related and finished project Shop Shots. I'm still buried in submissions here and working through them as best I can. Lots more to come!!

Cheers,

David Yoho
