>Don/t waist you time. there is no real method of stopping tree rats. if you want to feed small birds put the feeder in a cage that the squirls can't get into but the easiest way it to spike you seed with Cianne pepper it will burn the tong of the squirls sinse birds have no tong it will not bother them. just do it for a short while and then you can quit they will know to stay away. if they forget after a while do it again. simple effective. I don't have tree rats at my feeder but do have lots of birds.

Put your feeder at the top of a metal pole, about 8 feet up. Nothing can climb up a metal pole.

>Enrie I was a Cbt Engr in the Army, I have Anti-Handling Devices for the M15 Tank Mines. These I can be reloaded and kept the deer out of my garden one summer so if the conduit doesn't work that maybe the next step.
