>Ever need a file that will cut hardened steel? In the past few days, I did. Fettling the nickers on dado planes. On some of them, the nicker points are fat triangles (in cross section). Need to cut them down to something more like a blade.
These Valtitan files will cut hard steel. David Barnett recommended them a few years back, and more recently Mike W. cited them. Expensive, but the quality is there. See link if interested. No financial interest, just happy customer.
