Weird Question

David Miller from Iowa

>I was just going through the saw barrel and I have a bunch of saws I have saved solely for the saw nuts. I have already harvested the nuts from the saws where I could get them off, and those that remain are problematic - split nuts that are too worn, just won't come off, etc.

I figured I would just carve the nuts out, but that isn't turning out to be efficacious

Question - Is there a way to "dissolve" the wood and leave the nuts. I guess I could bury the saws in the garden and let the wood rot, but I would probably forget about them.

If I burned the wood, it would ruin the nuts, yes?

Any suggestions?

David

>Take an OLD/BEAT'R chisel and cut down parallel to the blade centered on each nut. You may have to do both sides of the blade.
