T&G Planes--Board vs. Plank?
Ted Owen, Pittsburgh
>I've been looking for a set of Tongue-and-Groove wooden handplanes and am a bit confused by the terminology. Based upon an old Sandusky catalog, as well as the attached page from an old Ohio catalog, it appears T&G planes are called Match Pairs. Is that right?
What is meant by some being labeled Board and some Plank? Aside from optional features that were available, is it simply that Plank is the larger sizes?
