Tools or Wood in Buffalo NY?

Tom MacGregor

>I'll be leaving my hilltop in rural Vermont for a one week visit in the Buffalo, New York area. Can anyone suggest any good vintage tool or exotic wood dealers, or potential spots for rust hunting?

>Flea market on Walden just east of Harlem Saturday morning (close to the Walden Galleria and the Thruway exit); Flea market in Clarence (a couple towns east of Buffalo out Main Street, not a bad ride) Sunday morning. Wing capital of the world. Beef on weck. Tim Horton donuts. Try and catch a Bisons game if they are home.

>Isn't Certainly wood the biggest dealer of veneer in the US? I bought a mixed box of veneer off them about 5 years ago it was all great stuff.

>Certainly wood is in East Aurura close by(Ithink). East Aurora is also home of Elbert Hubbard and the Roycroft community. A turn of the century (early 1900s)arts and crafts community, well worth a visit from people I know who have been there.
