>Sounds kinda porn does'nt it ? Saw this on Ask This Old House when they did " What Is It ? ". A small closed cylinder with a small hole at one end and a free moving piston inside. Clips onto the bottom of a hand saw handle with the hole toward the blade. As you make the saw stroke back the piston moves aft and as you move forward it pushes the air out to blow dust away from your cut. Tommy Silva said they've got a warehouse FULL of them. Not a big seller. Did'nt mention the vintage but old I guess. Also guess I GOTTA have me one ! Maybe goof with the Dog's mind !

My name is Marv Werner. I live Northern California, in Lake County. I retired in 1999 after owning an electronics business that produced coil assemblies for Hewlett Packard, Snap-On-Tools and other similar companies. I was in that business for 19 years. During prior years in the San Francisco Bay Area, I was vice president of two different companies. Got tired of the rat race and moved to Lake Co. in 1976 and sold real estate for four years. Hated it because it didn't involve getting my hands dirty. I have a combination woodworking and machine shop in the lower story of a house that I built back in 1981. I have a great interest in hand tools in general but am most involved with collecting and restoring old handsaws. I sell some on eBay and also do custom restoring and saw sharpening. The amount that I have learned here on WoodCentral is immeasurable. One of the things I've learned, I'm pretty much of a hack compared to so many people who frequent this site.

>Some years ago a Japanese saw had a puffer built into the handle. I think that Lee Valley sold it. Simple but reasonably effective. However, it takes more than a puffer to enable me to cut perfect dovetails.
