Rovonoc plane?
Robert Henderson
>I just aquired a nice little plane that looks like it is a clone of the Stanley #2 bench plane.
The iron is marked H, S & B Co. Revonoc.
I understand that that is the trade mark of Hibbard, Spencer & Bartlett Co.
There are no other markings on the plane.
The iron is tapered - thick at the cutting edge, thin at the end nearest the lateral adjustment lever.
Why the taper? It seems to me that you would have to adjust the cap screw every time you moved the blade forward or back.
Does anybody know who made this plane for H, S & B?
