>I have been gone sinse the first of the month a little R & R any way I got some work done on the room the floor is mostly in I still need to do the steps and around the tub but the big part is done. I got most of the inside trim in still need to wait on a couple peices untill I finish the floor. The tub is almost in? long story there don't ask! I am still waiting on the skirt to ship. We did some shopping for furnature got a small table and a side table wine rack $9 for that one and the larger one was only $65 with two chairs. I had the swivel rocker and we are looking for a chase lounge for the wife. I got the fluted trim between the windows made Killed some electrons there! Did some serious relaxing in a foure state area but not to far from home played the ponies dogs and a flea market or two. If you have never wandered aimlessly in your own back yard do it. it can be fun.

>Here is a picture of the trim the room is looking better it is finished on the outside just inside things to finish. it sure is nice and cool in there when it is 95� out side. we also have a great view of the garden and yard.

I had a similar problem with some floresent light fixtures. I just made a tapered base for each one so they would mount level. They are shallow and between the fixture and ceiling and can't be seen so I didn't need to paint them John Deere green.

I retired in 1999 after owning an electronics business that produced coil assemblies for Hewlett Packard, Snap-On-Tools and other similar companies. I was in that business for 19 years. During prior years in the San Francisco Bay Area, I was vice president of two different companies. Got tired of the rat race and moved to Lake Co. in 1976 and sold real estate for four years. Hated it because it didn't involve getting my hands dirty. I have a combination woodworking and machine shop in the lower story of a house that I built back in 1981. I have a great interest in hand tools in general but am most involved with collecting and restoring old handsaws. I sell some on eBay and also do custom restoring and saw sharpening. The amount that I have learned here on WoodCentral is immeasurable. One of the things I've learned, I'm pretty much of a hack compared to so many people who frequent this site.

>I'm working on that I have the wood and the scrub plane sharpened but all I can find in ford Blue and That color sucks! could you send me a gallon of JD green paint? Make sure it is for metal cause the extra will be used on a pick up that needs adjusted also.

You can buy a can of Crylon at Wal*Mart for about 2 dollars thats a good match to the original JD green. Take alot of cans for a pickup though.

Coarse now you've gone and doinked it all up with that ceramic tile, spa tub---easily converting to a water stone sharpening station--and got it it filled with that cheap a$$ made in China patio furniture. Than you went around the quad state area throwing money around on the dogs and ponies like your Howard Hughes, and than to top it al off you casualy mention that you went to the flea markets and then fail to mention what goodies you got!!

Why don't you go push the lawnmower aimlessly around in your backyard, and while your add it fill up the birdbath.

No, really Ernie, it's really looking very nice, you and the gang have really done a super job, and I know you and Pat are really going to enjoy it.

I got the pattio table a little sand blasting and powdercoat and it looks new. I got a D8 2" buck bor's chisel and a molding head for the table saw. that should pay for the gas.
