Pen's Envy

Of course the ever present quill (hot sand hardened point), the straight pen is made of pine, the politicians pen of curly maple (a natural split) and the latest addition is the curved pen made of a piece of standing dead relic oak. And I thought that the wood was not usable. Works well, is brittle and has a good look.
