>I occasionally buy a lot of all the pointy saws various dealers can't sell for a song. The good, taper ground, 26" or longer models like the #'s 16, 12, 8, 7 etc I shorten into 18-24" panel saws. The untapered plate saws like some Warranted Superior I turn into scrapers.

It also keeps me in sawnuts and handles. A Whitney metal punch set allows just about any blade to be rehandled.

Even with its special design for fitting in tight spots, this saw wouldn't quite make it into a standard size mailbox.
