No, this addiction never does lessen, matter of fact it grows and grows and GROWS!! Think a lathe is bad, you ain't seen nothing yet! Best to run while you still can is my advise. Another tool or two and escape will be impossible.

Got a Union #7 (I was hopping for a lever cap for it),......and a Record #8 (what a MONSTER!) already!

As far as the 4 1/2 goes,.....we'll see. The summer is young yet and here are many more garage sales and flea markets to hit. :>)

There was some big cracks in the crucial areas, and the bodies were pretty beat. However, the person selling them must have thought they were made of gold. It's one thing to have a working wooden rabbit plane and ask a lot of money for it. But another one altogether to ask a mint for a piece of garbage! Momma' Greco didn't raise no fool!

I guess that is what drives me to restore these old beauties. Plus I love to see how well they work after they've been tuned. It makes me feel like I'm bringing "back to life".
