Was talking to a Spider, am in Trouble now

Todd O. Cronkhite Maine Native, Presently Away

>So, envision this, yesterday while working in my shop a spider repells down in front of be on a strand of web. Based on his behavior I gathered that he wished to speak to me, so I held out my palm to give him a platform on which to stand. He told me that he had been elected as Speaker of the Spiders by all the other spiders, and that they all where very pleased that because I had not been using my tablesaw of late that their webs where staying much cleaner, and thusly, reduced their amount of daily labors of web cleaning.

Also, they wanted to express their gratitude for the much reduced smoke levels in the shop as of late, and to congratulate me on quitting smoking. Well, than they all broke into clapping and cheering, which really made quite a racket, as each spider can clap with 6 hands, and they are hearty cheer'ers, well, this made me feel so good that I started clapping as well and OOPS--no more Speaker of the Spiders. :~O I hear to tell that the silence was deafening, and that it is quite un-nerving to have about 4000 evil eyes staring at you!

>No, I'm not off the cigs yet. July 30th is my quit date. I think this is just a "reaction" to starving my body for nicotine. I've been in the shop since 8 a.m. and have smoked only 4 cigs, which I could of easily done in an hour last week.

I'm feeling muchg much better already, and I'm not sure, but I think it's brighter now as well. I was in the shop the other day and went to turn the lights out, and they already where. Maybe my eyes are going to benifit from this as well.

Thought I was going to have a Heart Attack a few nights ago, man, did my chest ever hurt! Hasen't hurt like that since tho, so I know it was just another reaction.

You can dang well bet that I ain't smokin' none of that 'wacky 'backy either! Why would I want to smoke a downer? I can get higher just by doinking around in the shop and keeping myself amused by laughing at myself than I can by any other substance.

>Yes Scott, your right, I remember now! I knew something was up, but forgot that I once knew that smoking affects the rods and cones in your eyes. thanks for reminding me.

Chest pains have subsided and I can saw or plane quite vigorously without them coming back. Got to admit to being a wee bit concerned about the chest pains, but my take on t was that if it was going to kill me than so be it. I can't complain, I'm 45 and have had a pretty good run of it. I'm in no hurry to die, don't get me wrong, but death dosen't scare me none either. I see it as just another adventure, the question of being coarse, where will the adventure take place. both places have their pros and cons, but either way I'll have plenty of friends in either place, and plenty of people to go harass.

I will admit to wanting to go to Rainbow Bridge to be reunited with my beloved pets.

>Leave me you LN's in your Will!

I feel a lot you feel when it comes to death and dying. I too want to see all my old frends at the end of the ride.
