Fair price for a Stanley 45?
Charles R. Smith from Victoria
>Can you advise me on what would be a fair price for a Stanley 45? An acquaintance offered it to me. It's in good condition, and is in a wooden box with several dozen cutters, some of which he thinks may be home-made. (I've not seen it.)
It belonged to a late friend of his, and he is cleaning out the basement for his friend's widow. I want to offer her a fair price -- not overpaying by too much, but certainly not stealing from a widow. Suggestions? Thanks!
