Crimping Plier?

>Anyone have an idea what this was used for? The jaws close tight and the boss and surface of the opposite jaw have a bit of mushroom as if they have been hammered. The end of one handle is twisted a bit like it was used as a pry bar.

>Fencing pliers, meant to pull on nasty fencewire (using the hammerhead for leverage in tightening down), bang staples or nails into posts, bend nails over, and straighten bent nails. But generally used to grip or bash whatever needed gripping or bashing. With a quick twist the jaws can snap the wires on hay bales, and the handles are a short prybar. Pretty much indestructable, and respectfully abused. But yes, they could be cobbler's pliers, or barrelmaker's pliers, or linesman's pliers...
"Lasting" pliers

>Used by cordwainers (proper term for shoemakers) moreso than cobblers (who mainly repair shoes). I have several pairs, small to large, old and new. The hammer (sometimes called the 'beard') is used to conveniently tap in nails to hold the leather to the last. Sometimes two lasting pliers are used, one in each hand.

This one has a brand name but I can't read it, it's covered by what looks like file marks. There is a series of numbers down the side of the opening, 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 and an "L" on the opposite side. The ends of the opening are beveled but aren't sharp.
