>Get a aftermarket blade and chipbreaker (Hock, LN, etc.) The levercap is another story. They show up on the 'bay time to time, as do blades and chip breakers. The lever caps seem to go for a fair amount. You can also try Peter, his advertising banner pops up at the top of the page.

>If your 602 is a later square sided version, you should be able to use a regular Stanley-Bailey lever cap and still be original. The lever caps on these went through quite a range of designs, so it could be difficult to find the correct one if you have an early model. The later lever caps were no different from the regular Stanley planes of the same size.
Now, an original #2 lever cap is not going to be cheap, but one from a standard Stanley-Bailey plane should be less than a Bedrock specific one.

>602 Bedrock caps are tough to find. I found a nice one (with blade and chipbreaker), and after hanging on to it for a while, decided to sell it, since it was highly unlikely I would ever need it. It sold for $385 online...roughly the price of two pretty nice Stanley #2 planes. -wayne
