York Pitch Frogs
Thomas Skaggs, Foothills of Mount Level
>I'm curious about adding a York pitch frog to an LN 4 1/2. It's supposed to help with "difficult" woods. I'll assume that includes curly woods...and I do use curly woods fairly often. Do folks here agree there is a noticeable benefit?
I also use "normal figured" cherry, maple and walnut a lot. Are you inclined to swap back to the standard pitch or do you find the York pitch (50 degrees) is a benefit for those woods as well?
Thanks in advance for the wisdom.
