Neandertal is here!
Friedrich Kollenrott
>Two weeks ago, I spied and luckily photographed this Neandertal man at Neandertal (really at the genuine Neander valley, a location near Duesseldorf in Germany, the signpost is not faked!). That man, dressed in a bear- skin, presented his Neandertal tools to the spring sun- maybe to invoke eternal sharpness of edges or some similar hocus- pocus from his heathen gods. The Neandertal being situated in Germany, it is not surprising that he had a traditional german bowsaw. Surprising and really sensational is that he also had a plane that looks like a Stanley #8- an old one, of corse, but obviously a Stanley. This leads to the question whether it was the Neandertal man who discovered America (instead of the Spaniards we learn about at school), whether consequently the Neandertal man is the ancestor of todays Americans maybe history has to be rewritten!
I tried to talk to the man to find out what his present woodworking projekts are, but he just gave a grunt and disappared. I will try to find out more.
