>Stanley used a lot of Brazilian Rosewood which got so over harvested that it became illegal to import or export in (I believe) the early 1990's. Cocobolo is often used as a substitute; I've had good results with Bolivian Rosewood although it may require darkening with a little stain to get a closer color match.
