With no delivery Monday, I freaked and got little sleep last night. Had meetings at work all morning. Called heat treaters. Batch sent to wrong address. Last week. 110 blades MIA !

Treater was concerned, but clueless. What is UPS tracking??? Call UPS, trick computer droid into sending call to human. Sorry, it was delivered to wrong address. Now it is out for delivery to correct address.
UPS computer down all afternoon. No tracking available. Eat food, fall into uneasy sleep on couch...dream of blades...where are my babies??? Oh, the humanity!

Brother, brother, you're just having no luck with heat treaters sending you back your goodies are you? What's the fix? I dunno, but dang somethings gotta give.
Glad all turned out right in the end, but I can imagine you anguish and frustration while they where MIA. Now, go get some chow, get some rest, and get on those blades............Scott's a'waitin'. ;~)

>Both cases of lost blades were with different companies, but both involved the same UPS shipping system (Powership?). They were unable (or did not know how to) delete an address that had a previous invoice tied to it. The problem is compounded by the fact that the UPS computer does not connect to the front office computer. I mark, count, bag and document the shipment in every way. Unfortunantly, the doc burns during heat treating. After tempering, they are all sent to the UPS Death Star. Lord Vader decides when and where all shipments go.
