>Agree with Jim - somewhat cumbersome. But still quite useful if you use very straight grained wood and watch the grain direction. If you try to use just any old piece of wood lying around, you will end up throwing this thing in the trash.

Notwithstanding, you need this just on principle.

Ok, now that's out of the way...I had and used my 55 for a long time. Mostly for plowing weird angles for using my H&Rs. I also used it for replicating some moldings, and in the case of some picture mold, hundreds of feet of the stuff.

Not all metal plows are equal. I have used other's 55s which were difficult to set up and cut correctly, though mine [and some others] was very nice in this regard. I liked the weight of the thing. In some ways, I truly regret selling it.
