Do you know if he uses the removable front apron primarily to extend the depth of the bench top?

While the French Site illustrated some of his holding methods, I would love to see an in-depth look at how he holds material in different operations.

According to him, his workholding is limited to bench-dogs (with the pipe-clamp vise mechanism) - each of the side extensions has a pair of adjustable stops which function as dogs.

My hat is off to him - the bench, and his handtool work, are inspiring examples of craftsmanship and creativity..

Mind you, I would still be pretty careful; I know more then a few anglophones that would take it badly.
