>I joined the crowd and ordered the miller plane kit. First of all, Paul is a really down to earth nice guy.

If you don't own the book "The Art of Fine Tools" get a copy. Many of Paul's beautiful works are photograhed and Paul has a section of his own.

Lastly, I received my kit and I'm in awe with the well done casting. I started some of the work and a funny thing happened. I enjoyed the changes so much I started slowing down. I'm going to do the clean up slowly and carefully document the changes.

30 blades in the hole

>I feel kinda like Little Feat after "Thirty Days in the Hole," having spent all afternoon in the grinding shop. Put away most of 30 blades which was part II of batch #1. They will be ready after finishing and stamping tomorrow. Steel arrives next week for the last two blades and then it is off to the heat treaters.

Today's session started out uneventful, but that quickly changed when the grinder decided to *eat* a blank. It shot out of the exhause hole and ended up on the floor looking like a pretzel. Forced me to stop and improvise a jig. Gotta say that I really hate making little blades.
