>Rumor has it you guys back east have this thing called PATINA coming up this weekend. I heard its somewhere out in the sticks and it starts at some ungodly hour of the morning and on top of that its going to be cold as hell. Any truth to this and how do I get involved?

Are you going to make the trip this year? I will try to get there about 6:30 or 7:00. (I'd like to get there at o-dark thirty like Todd Hughes but I'm too lazy)
This year I have no shopping list so I can't be dissapointed. Something will follow me home and I look forward to meeting everyone again.JR

Really a great event that I really look forward to. Hope the weather is OK this year, was beautiful last year.Dress warm.
... I always load up with all kinds of stuff and deals are certainly to be had even for a person like me that doesn't want to pay much. Lots of user tools and I would even go so far as to say more user stuff then just collectable.
... You have to know your stuff and know what you should pay as prices can be all over the place for the same tool. Best to know when you should buy and when you should look around some more. Make sure you look VERY good at everything you buy because lots of repaired, re finished tools live at these events. I think lots of dealers look at it as a place to unload things they couldn't sell on the ebay or in thier shops so be careful.
....Well if you see me there do come up and say Hello,. I'll be the fellow in the WW II Womens Reserve hat with the star on the top,might not recognise me as I've lost almost 40lbs and look even more like Brad Pitt now !.....Todd

>You know I checked into air fares and didn't find anything that looked too good. And when I do they are always redeye flights and I just don't do those too well any more. And I spoke with Tom the other day and he said it was quite cold there and I was hoping for sunny and balmy. I'd like to make it as it is probably one of the more enjoyable tool events I've partaken in.
I look forward to hearing all the good, bad, and, ugly next week. And apparently since Todd has lost 40 pounds and quite resembles Brad Pitt I guess he won't fit into the ugly category any longer.
