The twins arrive

Jim Reed @ Tallahassee

>Here is a picture of the newly arrived twins. No time to use extra steps and go to the shop. They are on the bathroom vanity. I think I will be cleaning and polishing this weekend.

>Maybe you should set one up right-handed, the other left...just in case someone asks: why two?...like me, for instance.

Back when Paul introduced these, I got one from him very cheap. He knew I was between jobs at the time, and graciously offered one at a huge discount...just 'cause that's the kind of guy he is. A true gentleman. I will never forget that. -wayne

The planes are beautiful

jim reed @ tallahassee

>but talking to Paul on the phone was priceless. His dry sense of humor kept me laughing the whole time. He is truly every bit as outstanding as his planes.

>do they come with instructions on how to apply the patina and every thing to make them look pretty? How about If I have one shipped to you and you pretty it up for me as a birthday present and send it on when you are done?

Paul's first batch of these came out four or five years ago, if memory serves. Here's more info on Paul. -wayne

>You Dawg Jim! How you going to finish it?

Do you have any plans on making a full set of blades for it?

If so I'd like to get a set from you.

You see, I just ordered mine this morning.

Please oh please keep us posted as you finish them!

jim reed @ tallahassee

>I have a few blade sets made for the Miller 141 and I think they will fit just fine. I plan to finish one of the planes out this weekend and test them.
