I have a large collection of Leons Planes, and a great phone friendship with him.

The planes I have that were made when he owned Crown Plane have L.R. above the crown symbol. If I remember right the Crown stamp went with the sale of the company. After he sold the company, he went to L.R. above a shield with a dove in it. Leon liked the religous symbolism of the dove.

Do you have some of his planes? My favorite is a 35 deg. low angle block plane made out of Tiger Maple, use it alot.

The largest selection I`ve seen in one place was at Woodbutcher Tools in Woolwich(also known as the Shelter Institute).

I would suppose one could also go to Leon directly if something special was required.
