The Wendrzycki Formula

>Had a phone conversation with Ray Wendrzycki the pother day, and we got talking about time estimation for remodelling projects. He said that his wife had come up with a formula that has proved to be quite accurate. It works like this:
Estimated Time To Complete 6 months
Now TRIPLE that estimation =18 months
Now move the months to the next higer level, which of coarse would be Years.
So in the above example the Time Required to finish a 6 month project works out to 18 YEARS!
So, just to reinforce the Wendrzycki Formula a one week estimation would be:
1 week, x 3= 3 weeks, take 3 weeks, move weeks to next higher level = 3 months!
Boy, does this answer a lot of questions!, and without knowing it I belive that I have proven this formula to be in fact quite accurate. :~(
Now, I also believe that this formula can be applied to Costs as well, tho I haven't got conclusive evidence of it yet.
