>Here is a picture of the Craftsman hand plane that I was asking about several weeks ago. Thank you for all of your responses. Is there anything else that you can tell me about this hand plane? Maybe suggest where I can get a tote, or tips on making a new one.

>I think there is an artical on making the totes (rear handle) it looks like you are also missing the rod and nut that holds it on the plane also. I don't know if I have one of them in my junk box or not but will look. I also don't know if a Stanley rod has the same threads but Think they could or might? They were just so weard about them threads no two alike for some reason.

>With pre-70's Craftsman, you can be sure that's it's made under contract from one of the U.S. tool makers. I've seen Crafstman rabbeting planes, virtually identical to Stanley #78, and block planes virtually identical to Stanley as well.
