OT: Paypal Fraud Alert

Tom MacGregor

>The fraudsters are getting better all the time. I just got an email addressed to me by name, not "Dear Paypal Member" that was a fake telling me there was a problem with my account access. It was complete with www.paypal.com links including a "securitytips" link and warnings not to give my password to anyone. It was by far the best fake I've seen to date and it actually took a few minutes before I got suspicious. If you get a paypal message that you want to verify DO NOT sign in through the link in the email! Sign on through your browser in the regular way to make sure you're at the real site.
