>I have a Stanley 32 transitional, fairly decent shape, except it's missing the iron and cap iron. Does anyone else know what else will fit? Or do I need to find one specifically for that plane?

>There's nothing special about the iron. I think any #8 size iron will do. Though, I believe the cap iron has a higher yoke hole than your average #8. A quick check... my #33 (like your #32) is higher than on a #608, i.e. not compatible.
If you can find a crusty #32, #33 or #37 you can canibalize...though ofcourse a #37 might be worth up to 10 times the price of the #32.

Oh Yea, you could try to mill a new slot in a standard chip breaker.
