>Here is today's cleanup project. Disston 14" back saw in pretty good shape. A little sanding and a little paste wax and it is up and cutting again. Teeth need a little touch up.

>There's old paint and there's new paint. If you are lucky, your tool has old paint. Old paint is brittle and can be scraped with a fingernail or (carefully) with a pocketknife. New paint needs paint remover.

>I agree with Jim if you are lucky there is dirt under the paint and it will come off eaiser. Try a dental pick.
