>Wow! those are some Beauties for sure. I uess I'm not up on the subject, but from whom did these come from?

You'll let us know how they perform yes?

Hank Knight from SC

>Those are beauties, Jim. I have several Imai chisels from Misugi and I've saved the hand-addressed packaging from all of them. Something about the man himself - or his wife or kid - sitting down and addressing a package of his stuff to me. Cool chisels. I know you'll enjoy them.

Yep

>I feel the same way, Hank. Chutaro-san knows who he is making the chisel for. The maker's marks are on everything, including the package.

I'm soooo sorry!

Joanne in Pt. Pleasant, PA

>Geez, Jim! You didn't even get to try them out on some dovetails yet, and someone went and put big gouges in the backs of your new chisels! You won't have anything left if you flatten those backs! ;-)

Re: I'm soooo sorry!

Jim Shaver Oakville, Ont.

>You know Joanne...

I will start them out on a 1000 stone...and work them nice and easy up to my finest stone before I flip them and do the bevel.....I am sure while I am flattening the backs that I'll have a few moments to think of that first shaving! Ah, The Hollows, such a nice set!

Take care,

Jim

Re: beautiful

Jim Shaver Oakville, Ont.

>Thanks Dave,

Well they have been to Kitchener with me the other day....can I say that Konrad just about became speachless? I think he might endevour to get one or two like them himself.

In the next few days I will hone these two up and give them a trial run....there is something special about buying tools dierectly from the tool maker...as you well know!

:-)

Take care,

Jim
